LKT social media and marketing training day 2016

Louise Killeen Translations, social media, marketing, trainingBelying the superstitions traditionally associated with its bad luck, Friday 13 May dawned bright and sunny as we gathered in Middleton for our quarterly team training day.

Once again, the agenda was packed, kicking off on time at 8.30 with a lively brainstorming session on mission, vision and values. The team shared ideas about the abilities, characteristics and traits that enable us to deliver on our promise to our customers guaranteeing quality, time and capacity – the three ultimate challenges in the translation industry. The encapsulation of our mission, vision and values is an ongoing project and we look forward to sharing the results with our customers, associates and partners later in the summer.

The rest of the morning was dedicated to social media, with Siobhan Gorrie presenting facts and figures about our own presence and statistics on social media in general, with a view to increasing our social media profile on various platforms. We’re already doing a great deal of good work and agreed a strategy and action plan to take things further in which the entire team will play a part.

After a hearty pizza lunch, Andy Schroeder picked up the reins with a presentation on our business development activities. Team members were given the opportunity to learn more about this area of the business before being invited to share ideas around marketing resources, strategy and techniques.

The day ended with a visit from a professional photographer to update the team shots for our website and social media platforms – look out for our smiling faces on a screen near you very soon!
